Two videos showing work in progress for an unfinished sound-driven, flocking piece – a continuation of my fleeting sound sculpture obsession.
Above is a flight cycle for a swallow, and below, a fairly crude test of the audio-influenced, flocking behaviour.
I programmed the flocking using C4D’s COFFEE scripting language, following the rules set out by Craig Reynolds in his Boids AI model [insert geeky snort].
Unlikely to be revisited, the bird has *ahem* flown.
