Homemade Robot designs for web, motion and print
Jon Sykes founded Homemade Robot in 2003, after almost 4 years working as an interactive designer at Profero and then Carat. Since then he’s been commissioned to design and program a number of websites for mainly creative clients, in fields such as film, fashion, design, advertising, nightlife, music and photography.
In recent years Jon has branched out into motion design and 3D animation, for clients such as Sony Playstation, Becks and De Beers. Along with the conventional timeline approach, he has a particular interest in animating with scripting techniques.
Homemade Robot has received accolades for creativity, picking up PDN awards 2 years in succession (2007 / 2008) for www.oliviabeasley.com and www.henrikknudsen.com.
When not working under Homemade Robot, Jon has freelanced at high profile agencies such as AKQA, de-construct, Oyster and LBi.
